Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead the design division in East London. You will manage a team of electrical engineers and designers, guiding conceptualization through handover for high-quality, compliant solutions.

The role blends on-site leadership with remote work for administrative and strategic planning, offering a hybrid work environment and leadership development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in electrical design, with at least 4 years in a management or lead role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex electrical design projects.
• Expertise in electrical system design, power distribution, and relevant industry codes and standards.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of electrical design projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement design standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with clients, project stakeholders, and other disciplines to define project scope and requirements.
• Review and approve design documents, calculations, and specifications to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
• Manage resource allocation, workload distribution, and performance of the design team.
