Qualifications

• B.Eng or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years' experience in electrical design and drafting.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP) for electrical design.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes (SANS, IEC).
• Experience in low and medium voltage systems design.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical designs, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Perform calculations for power distribution, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection.
• Select appropriate electrical components and equipment based on project requirements and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with national and international electrical standards and codes.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical designs into overall project plans.
