Job summary

An established engineering consultancy in Johannesburg, Gauteng, is seeking an Electrical Revit/BIM Draftsman for a permanent role. You will prepare electrical BIM models, drawings and construction documentation for commercial, industrial and building-services projects, collaborating closely with engineers and other project disciplines.

You will also develop and maintain BIM models, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and ensure documentation adheres to standard templates and drawing

Qualifications

3+ years of electrical BIM/draughting experience.
Proficiency in Revit MEP Electrical and AutoCAD.
Experience with electrical building-services modelling and documentation.
Understanding BIM coordination, families, templates and drawing standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain electrical BIM models using Revit MEP Electrical.
Prepare electrical layouts and documentation for lighting, small power, HV/LV systems.
Produce drawings for generators, UPS, earthing, lightning protection and fire detection.
Support BIM coordination and clash detection across disciplines.
Create and maintain Revit families, schedules, sheets and project templates.
Manage drawing revisions and prepare as-built documentation.
