Job summary

RPO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Revit Draughtsperson / BIM Modeller to join our Cape Town office for a leading Electrical Engineering Consultancy.

The role focuses on Building Services and Data Centre projects, offering exposure to technically complex multidisciplinary work. You will develop Revit models, coordinate BIM with MEP disciplines, and produce detailed drawings for delivery.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Draughting, Engineering, BIM or related field.
• Approximately 5 years' experience with Revit.
• Strong Revit and AutoCAD experience.
• Electrical building services experience highly preferred.
• Experience in other MEP services considered.
• Consulting engineering environment experience is advantageous.
• Strong technical drawing and building services documentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Own reliable transport.
• Available to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate Revit models for engineering projects.
• Produce detailed technical drawings with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Assist engineers with development and coordination of building services designs.
• Develop coordinated BIM models per project requirements.
• Interpret designs, drawings, specifications, and project information.
• Coordinate models and drawings with other MEP disciplines.
• Update models and drawings with design changes and project needs.
• Ensure drawings and models are accurate, coordinated, and issued on time.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians and project team members.
