Job summary

RPO Recruitment in Cape Town is seeking an Electrical BIM Modeller to join a well-established engineering consultancy's Electrical team. You will draught Revit models for large commercial, retail, industrial, and multi-residential projects.

You will produce coordinated, clash-free BIM models, collaborate with engineers, incorporate mark-ups, and maintain drawing registers while upholding BIM standards.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Autodesk Revit - essential.
• 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Revit 3D modelling.
• Experience in electrical or building services BIM/draughting strongly advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clearly across a collaborative team.
• A team-oriented approach - someone who contributes positively and works well with others.
• Attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate Revit 3D models and electrical engineering drawings for a range of large building projects.
• Model electrical and electronic systems including MV/LV, generators, UPS, PV, lighting, small power, access control, CCTV, and data networks.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and other disciplines to ensure fully coordinated, clash-free BIM models.
• Incorporate engineer mark-ups and revisions accurately and promptly.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure all deliverables are issued on time and to the required standard.
• Uphold BIM standards, naming conventions, and model quality across all projects.
• Engage professionally with the wider project and engineering team.
