About the Role

Our client, a progressive educational institution located in Paarl, Western Cape , is actively seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Educational Technology Specialist . This fully remote position will play a crucial role in integrating technology effectively into the teaching and learning processes across the institution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various educational technologies, learning management systems (LMS), and digital pedagogy. You will be responsible for providing technical support, training staff and students on new tools, and assisting in the development of digital learning resources. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between technology and education. Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and utilization of educational technologies and learning management systems (LMS).
• Provide technical assistance and training to faculty, staff, and students on various educational software and hardware.
• Develop and deliver workshops and training materials on effective use of educational technology for teaching and learning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to educational platforms and tools.
• Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to create engaging digital learning content.

• Assist in the management and maintenance of the institution's digital learning environment.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in educational technology.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an educational technology support or specialist role.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) and other educational software.
• Strong understanding of digital pedagogy and instructional design principles.
• Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train non-technical users.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
