About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and compassionate Educational Psychologist to support students, staff, and parents within their educational community in Randburg . You will play a vital role in identifying and addressing learning difficulties, behavioral issues, and emotional challenges that affect academic performance. This position requires a deep understanding of child development, learning processes, and mental health within an educational context, contributing to a holistic approach to student well-being and academic success in Gauteng .

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psycho-educational assessments to identify learning disabilities, developmental delays, and emotional/behavioral challenges.
• Provide individual and group counseling services to students experiencing academic, social, or emotional difficulties.
• Develop and implement intervention strategies and support plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Offer consultation and training to teachers and parents on child development, learning strategies, and behavior management.
• Contribute to the development of school-wide positive behavior support systems and mental health initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Educational Psychology or a related field.
• Registration as an Educational Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• Proven experience in conducting psycho-educational assessments and providing psychological interventions.
• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, learning theories, and psychopathology.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and ethical practice skills.
