Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and empathetic Educational Psychologist to provide vital support services to students, staff, and parents in Mossel Bay. This role focuses on understanding and addressing the learning, behavioral, emotional, and social challenges that students may face. You will conduct assessments, provide counseling, and develop intervention strategies to promote student well-being and academic success. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional difficulties.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing various psychological and developmental issues.

• Consult with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to facilitate student support and development.
• Contribute to the development of school-wide mental health and well-being programs.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Educational Psychology or a related field.
• Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., HPCSA) as an Educational Psychologist.
• Proven experience in psychological assessment and intervention with children and adolescents.
• Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and psychopathology.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
