Placements24 is seeking an E-commerce Platform Manager for its Richards Bay operations. The role combines on-site presence with remote flexibility to drive online store performance, optimization, and strategic platform development.

You will lead day-to-day management, analyze user behaviour, implement CRO techniques, and collaborate with IT, marketing and customer service to boost conversions and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing and optimizing e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
• Strong understanding of web analytics tools (Google Analytics) for business insights.
• Experience with SEO, CRO and conversion rate optimization.
• Familiarity with UX/UI principles and customer journey mapping.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a hybrid environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and proactive platform-management mindset.

About the Role

Our client seeks a strategic and technically adept E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee their online store operations in Richards Bay . This role involves a hybrid work model, combining essential on-site presence with remote flexibility. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, optimization, and strategic development of the e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and high-converting customer journey. This position requires a blend of technical understanding, analytical prowess, and a keen eye for user experience, working closely with IT, marketing, and customer service teams to drive online sales and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end functionality and performance of the e-commerce platform, troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements.
• Oversee website updates, including product catalog management, content updates, and promotional campaign setups.
• Analyze website traffic, user behavior, and conversion data to identify areas for improvement and growth.
