Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• Professional registration with SACQSP.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale commercial or residential developments.
• In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (JBCC, NEC).
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, ideally with Durban project experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQ), cost estimates, and tender documents for construction projects.
• Manage the tendering process, evaluating bids and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction lifecycle, identifying and mitigating financial risks.
• Value interim payments and process final accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Advise on contract variations and claims, providing cost-effective solutions.
