Qualifications

• Proven experience as Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and repair experience.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems.
• Willingness to work shifts if required.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery, including lathes, mills, presses, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in production equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations in Durban.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance logs.
• Overhaul, adjust, and calibrate machinery to ensure peak performance and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment upgrades to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues in KwaZulu-Natal.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities effectively and minimize impact on output.
• Operate a range of tools and equipment, including welding and fabrication tools, as required.
