Placements24 in Durban seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer to plan, implement, and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance for a range of industrial machinery. You will lead a maintenance team, manage spares, and drive reliability improvements to keep production uptime high.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in heavy manufacturing maintenance, PLC knowledge, and CMMS experience, with willingness to relocate to KwaZulu-Natal if needed.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance, preferably in heavy manufacturing.
• Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with PLC programming is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Leadership experience managing maintenance teams.
• Knowledge of CMMS and health and safety practices.
• Based in or willing to relocate to KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules for plant machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production disruption.
• Oversee the maintenance team with guidance and performance management.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement for critical components.
• Implement continuous improvement to improve reliability and reduce costs.
