Istaff Recruitment in Cape Town is seeking a DTP Operator with knowledge of Flexo and Digital printing to join our client's team. The role requires preparing files for flexo plates, signs, and digital cut files, ensuring artwork meets client specifications.

You should have Grade 12, a DTP qualification, at least 12 months prepress experience, and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and the CC Suite. A printing background and keen attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and a DTP qualification required.
• At least 12 months prepress experience in printing.
• Experience with Flexo prepress and digital printing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Preparing electronic files for the production of flexographic plates and cutters for label production.
• Preparing electronic files for the production of signage print and cut files for digital machines.
• Preparing internal printing/publishing requirements.
• Preparing clients’ artwork for proofs and for production of various types of labels by Digital and Flexo processes.
• Producing and updating customer designs.
• Understanding and setting up of artwork by following technical specifications and client requirements.
• Assisting operators with machine troubleshooting and technical support for digital and flexographic printing.
