Job summary

Tiger Consumer Brands Ltd. is seeking a responsible delivery/route administrator to ensure safe vehicle use, maintain strong relationships with trade partners, and manage stock and cash handling with meticulous records.

The role emphasizes on-time delivery, accurate route planning, and proactive reporting of store activities. Responsibilities include stock checks, invoicing handovers, adherence to trade terms, and sign-off on returns.

Responsibilities

• Safe and responsible use of vehicle: adhere to traffic laws, drive safely, and avoid abuse of the vehicle.
• Excellent relations with the trade: build client relations and provide relevant information, feedback on activities.
• Stock and money accounted for: perform stock checks before departure, ensure counts, hand over invoices, receive correct payments, sign off on terms, and report suspicious activities.
• On time delivery: depart on time, report delays, and coordinate with depot/bakery for urgent deliveries; optimize store opportunities.
• Positive Basket flow: track basket flow per client, sign baskets in/out at gate, report deviations.
• Update and accurate route administration: ensure compliance to accounting policies, report trade activities, place orders as required.

   • Truck hygiene
2. Excellent relations with the trade
   • Feedback from the trade
   • To be attired acceptably to the trade
3. Stock and money accounted for
   • Recons to be balanced weekly to zero (Thursday)
   • All money in/accounted for
   • Stock to be accounted for
4. On time delivery
   • Delivery time vs target
   • Volume: Sales vs target
   • Returns: as per company policy
5. Positive basket flow
   • Varience
   • Responsible for the signing in/out of baskets
6. Update and accurate route administration
   • Accuracy
   • On time
   • Ensure compliance to company accounting policies and procedures
   • Draw up reports on trade activities( including competitor activity)
   • Liaise with Telesales on information required
   • Daily signing of settlement sheets
   • Orders to be given to telesales before 15h00

Main tasks and Activity

1. Safe and responsibily use of vehicle
   • Adhere to traffic laws and driving rules
   • Drive safety and have courtesy on the road
   • Do not abuse the vehicle in any circumstances i.e driving, parking, Loading, off loading,littering, etc
   • Report damages to the vehicles immediately
   • Conduct vehicle, check daily before entering vehicle
   • Report defects daily on official defect sheet
2. Excellent relations with the trade
   • Build relations with clients
   • Supply the trade with relavent information
   • Give feedback on activities, perception and attitude observed in the trade
3. Stock and money accounted for
   • Do proper stock check before departure at depot/bakery and sign therefore
   • Ensure proper counts of stock and money per client
   • Hand client his invoice and receive correct payment
   • Adhere to trade terms agreed on
   • Ensure safe keeping of money and product at all time
   • Obtain signatures, proof, atc as required
   • Report suspicious activities immediately
   • Take and report on returns
   • Balance to zero every Thursday
4. On time delivery
   • Leave the depot/bakery on time
   • Report back to the supervisor if running late
   • Report to depot/bakery if emergency deliveries are required
   • Look for opportunities in the store and advise the depot accordingly
   • Evaulate the merchandiser performance
5. Positive Basket flow
   • Keep account of basket flow per client
   • Pick up basket per client
   • Report deviations
   • Sign askets in and out at the gate and ensure accuracy therefore
6. Update and accurate route administration
   • Ensure compliance to company accounting policies and procedure
   • Report on trade activities
   • Place orders as required in line with the Bakery producures
