Job summary

Tiger Brands in Pretoria is seeking a delivery driver to support the safe, accurate and efficient distribution of loaves. You will select the correct type and quantity of bread, deliver customer orders on time and in full, and collect empty crates and returns as per invoice.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspection, keeping the cab clean, reporting irregularities, adhering to health & safety regulations, and building strong relations with general trade customers.

Responsibilities

To support the driver in the safe, accurate and efficient delivery and collection of goods by selecting the correct type, quantity and quality of loaves; delivering customer orders on time and in full, in accordance with the invoice; and collecting and loading empty crates and customer returns onto the truck.

Key Performance Area

• Vehicle Inspection
• Ensure the vehicle cab is kept clean and hygienic
• Report any irregularities and bad driving to Sales Supervisor

• Adhere to SOP's for loading and off-loading trucks

• Carry bread from truck to the shop as per invoice
• Build relationships with customers
• Merchandise bread at general trade customers based on shelf life
• Provide feedback on activities, perceptions and attitudes observed at general trade customers to Sales Supervisor
• Positive basket flow and control
• Pick up baskets per client
• Carry empty crates, stock and returns to truck
• Pack empty crates and bread in truck ensuring no damage

Minimum Requirements
