Requirement includes a valid driver’s licence and PrDP, Matric, strong knowledge of Johannesburg routes and GPS planning. The role demands reliability, punctuality, and flexibility for varied shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

• Matric is required.
• Valid driver’s licence and PrDP are mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience, preferably in production, media or corporate environments.
• Good knowledge of Johannesburg and surrounding routes; GPS/route planning skills.
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation; road safety and defensive driving awareness.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before each shift and report defects or safety concerns.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy and well maintained.
• Transport staff, guests, production crews and equipment safely and on time.
• Assist passengers entering/exiting the vehicle and ensure safety.
• Plan efficient routes using GPS and traffic information.
• Adjust routes based on traffic and operational needs.
• Ensure crew pick-ups and production transport are completed on time.
• Comply with road laws, fleet policies and safety procedures.
• Report accidents, damage, or mechanical faults promptly.
• Maintain professional conduct and courteous service.
• Securely park vehicle and manage keys at end of shift.

The position of a driver will be reporting Fleet and Stores Supervisor

The company driver is responsible for the safe, reliable and timeous transportation of staff, guests, production personnel and equipment in support of broadcast and production operations. The role requires a valid driver's licence and PrDP, good knowledge of Johannesburg and surrounding routes, and a strong commitment to road safety, vehicle care and professional service.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before the start of each shift and report any defects or safety concerns.
• Ensure assigned vehicles are clean, roadworthy and properly maintained.
• Transport staff, guests, production crews and equipment safely and timeously to required destinations.
• Assist passengers who require support when entering or exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
• Plan safe and efficient routes using GPS, maps and available traffic information.
• Adjust routes where necessary based on traffic conditions, road closures and operational requirements.
• Ensure crew pick-ups, guest movements and production-related transport requirements are completed on time.
• Comply with all applicable road traffic laws, company fleet policies and safety procedures.
• Report accidents, vehicle damage, traffic incidents and mechanical faults immediately.
• Maintain professional conduct and provide a courteous service to staff, guests and production personnel.
• Ensure the vehicle is securely parked and keys and other vehicle-related equipment are properly managed at the end of each shift.

Qualifications and experience:

• Matric.
• Valid driver's licence and professional driving permit (PrDP).
• Minimum 1 years' driving experience, preferably in a production, media or corporate environment.
• Good knowledge of Johannesburg and other major cities around the country.
• Good knowledge of GPS and route planning.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• Good road safety awareness and defensive driving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual and responsible.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, weekends and public holidays.
