About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Drilling Supervisor to manage drilling operations for exploration and geotechnical purposes near Nelspruit . You will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of drilling programs, supervising drilling crews, and ensuring the quality of core samples and drilling data. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of drilling techniques, and a commitment to health and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily drilling activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational plans.


• Manage drilling crews, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.


• Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of drilling rigs and associated equipment.


• Oversee the collection, logging, and transportation of geological samples.


• Maintain detailed drilling logs and reports, ensuring data accuracy for geological interpretation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a drilling supervision or senior driller role, preferably in mineral exploration.


• Proven experience with various drilling methods (e.g., RC, diamond drilling).


• Strong understanding of geological sampling techniques and core handling.


• Valid First Aid and advanced First Aid certifications are highly desirable.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety in remote environments.
