Placements24 seeks a knowledgeable Drilling Fluids Specialist to support drilling operations in Upington, Northern Cape. You will design, manage and optimize drilling fluid systems to ensure wellbore stability, efficient drilling rates, and effective formation evaluation in challenging geological conditions.

You will supervise mixing on rigs, conduct regular testing, troubleshoot fluid-related issues, and train crews on best practices for fluid management.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Drilling Fluids Specialist or Mud Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, rheology, and hydraulics.
• Familiarity with water-based and oil-based drilling fluid systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design and recommend drilling fluid programs tailored to specific well conditions and objectives.
• Supervise the mixing and maintenance of drilling fluids on drilling rigs.
• Conduct regular testing and analysis of drilling fluid properties and performance.
• Troubleshoot drilling fluid-related problems encountered during operations.
• Provide technical support and training to drilling crews on best practices for fluid management.
