To ensure RedBull’s sales growth and perfect store execution in the Independent Rural and Urban Trade, the goal is to increase and deepen Red Bull's footprint in this channel. The main focus is to develop a proven concept for RedBull to become the leader in Energy within the Independent Rural and Urban market space. Once developed, the role involves managing its daily execution and turning strategy into action.
Responsibilities
All responsibilities include:
- Analyzing geographic areas to understand outlet and sales opportunities through trade visits.
- Setting minimum DP service requirements based on trade analysis to ensure maximum service.
- Developing annual Business Plans for regional partners in coordination with the Head of Direct Distribution, aiming to increase Red Bull's footprint.
- Co-developing Business Plans by DP to meet strategic initiatives like volume, distribution, execution, and data exchange, aligned with the overall RBZA plan.
- Managing POS stock, handling, and ROI calculations for initiatives.
- Tracking and driving DP performance against business plans and KPIs such as sales volume, distribution, store execution, and promotional compliance.
- Supporting DPs through training, leading by example, and motivating their sales force.
- Identifying opportunities via systematic trade visits and data analysis, and presenting these to partners.
- Leading monthly reviews and generating best practices.
- Fueling DP sales force passion through recognition programs.
- Forecasting sales, managing stock levels, and ensuring order alignment with targets.
- Managing budgets for initiatives linked to the SAB and RedBull partnership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (optional)
- Valid driver’s license
- Proven experience managing third-party sales teams in FMCG sector (>5 years)
- Leadership skills and experience managing sales forces, preferably within trade channels
- Experience with regional accounts and key accounts (an advantage)
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Analytical skills and commercial acumen
- Independence, organization, and result orientation
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Management reporting and budget control skills
- Excellent presentation skills
Location and Travel
Based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Travel required: 80-90%.
