Qualifications

• Admitted SA High Court attorney with 4+ years in litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of civil litigation from inception to conclusion.

• Draft pleadings, applications and other legal documents.

This role involves managing a caseload of complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters for a diverse clientele, including major corporations and high-net-worth individuals. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in representing clients in court, arbitration, and mediation, offering strategic advice and advocating effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of civil litigation from inception to conclusion.


• Represent clients in various forums, including the High Court, Magistrates' Courts, and arbitrations.


• Draft pleadings, applications, and other legal documents with precision.


• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare comprehensive legal opinions.


• Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution processes.


• Liaise effectively with clients, counsel, and court officials.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience in litigation.


• Demonstrated experience in various forms of dispute resolution , including commercial litigation.


• Strong understanding of civil procedure rules and evidence law.


• Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and client management skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.


• Proficiency in legal research and document management software.
