Oldmutual in Cape Town is seeking a driven Commercial Litigation Lawyer with at least five years post-qualification experience to handle diverse commercial disputes, from contracts to complex shareholder matters.

You will conduct legal research, draft pleadings and affidavits, represent clients in court, arbitrations and mediations, and advise on strategy while building strong client relationships in a collaborative, client-centric firm.

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in commercial litigation.
• Proven success managing complex litigation from inception to conclusion.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure, evidence law and commercial statutes.
• Excellent advocacy, negotiation and drafting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage time and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in legal research databases and case management software.
