Regenesys seeks a Head of Discoverability in Johannesburg to make brands and programmes easy to find across search engines, AI answer engines, social and owned channels.

You will lead Content and SEO, set editorial strategy, and ensure content ranks well and appears in AI-generated answers while guiding teams and aligning with business priorities.

This senior role requires a decade in content or SEO, leadership experience, and strong analytics to measure performance and drive growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in content and/or SEO, with at least 4 years leading teams.
• Deep knowledge of technical SEO, plus current understanding of AEO and GEO.
• Proven editorial leadership across multiple brands or audiences.
• Strong analytics skills, including Google Search Console, GA4 and SEO platforms.
• Degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.

Responsabilités

• Set discoverability strategy across content, SEO (technical, on-page and off-page), answer engine optimisation (AEO) and generative engine optimisation (GEO).
• Lead the Content Lead and SEO Lead, and develop their teams.
• Own the editorial strategy and calendar, aligned to business unit priorities and intake cycles.
• Make sure programme and school content is structured to rank in search and to appear in AI-generated answers.
• Drive technical SEO priorities with Marketing Operations and the web development team.
• Develop thought leadership content with academics and senior leaders.
• Set and protect brand voice and content standards across the group's brands.
• Work with the Performance team on landing page content and on combined paid and organic search performance.
• Introduce AI tools into content production, with clear quality controls.
• Measure and report organic performance by business unit.
