Job summary

GPW in Pretoria seeks a Deputy Director with a strong ICT background to lead infrastructure architecture and security efforts. The role requires a professional with a degree in IT/CS, Grade 12, and at least 5 years of middle/senior ICT experience.

The incumbent will steer governance, risk, and compliance while aligning IT strategy to overall GPW business objectives. Responsibilities include designing and enforcing IT architecture, safeguarding information assets, and managing IT service

Qualifications

Grade 12 and a Degree (NQF 7) in Information Technology / Computer Science required.
Added advantage: various IT certifications (CCNA, CISSP, TOGAF, ITIL, etc.).
Minimum 5 years’ middle/senior ICT experience (Deputy Director).
Knowledge of IT governance, security standards, and government IT acts.

Responsibilities

Design and implement infrastructure architecture plans.
Enforce infrastructure architecture execution and refine tasks; assess technology trends.
Safeguard information assets; define access controls and security improvements.
Oversee IT service support and operations; manage incident management and requests fulfilment.
Develop Directorate operational plans; allocate resources and monitor performance.
