Placements24 is seeking a Director of IT Infrastructure based in Centurion, Gauteng, to lead a financial services firm's technology backbone. You will design, implement, and manage scalable, secure infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, data centers, and cloud services.

The role requires 10+ years in IT infrastructure with at least 5 years in leadership, strong cybersecurity knowledge, ITIL experience, and a proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and budgets.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing enterprise networks, servers, and data centers.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices.
• ITSM frameworks (ITIL) experience.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Experience managing IT budgets and vendor relationships.
• Certifications (CISSP, CCNA, cloud) are desirable.

• Develop and execute IT infrastructure strategy aligned with objectives.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and ensure performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor the IT infrastructure team.
• Implement and manage robust cybersecurity measures.
• Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of all IT systems.
• Develop and manage IT infrastructure budget.
• Plan and execute infrastructure projects.
• Establish IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership to IT and other business units.
