Job summary

The Western Cape Mobility Department of the Western Cape Government invites applications for the Deputy Director: Systems and Technology role (Ref WCMD 92/2026) based in Cape Town CBD. The successful candidate will plan, integrate and govern ICT systems while meeting tight deadlines and irregular hours.

Qualification at NQF level 6 or higher and at least 3 years in middle management within ICT environments are required.

Qualifications

• NQF level 6 qualification or higher.
• Minimum of 3 years' middle management experience in related systems and technology environments.

Responsibilities

• Integrate mobility systems and develop ICT governance mechanisms for the Department.
• Coordinate and promote mobility-related systems in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Provide accurate and timely departmental information to enable effective decision-making.
• Develop and maintain ICT policy and systems.
• Plan and manage the Sub-Directorate's performance, including people and financial management.
