Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aquatics Program Director to lead and expand aquatic programs at a premier Richards Bay facility. You will develop, manage, and promote swim lessons, competitive swimming, water aerobics, and recreational swimming, ensuring safety and high member satisfaction.

The role requires senior leadership, strong budgeting skills, and a passion for water safety. Flexible hours and opportunity to innovate in a coastal community are offered.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing aquatic programs or facilities.
• Current lifeguard certification and WSI or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of pool operations and safety protocols.
• Proven ability to lead and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee all aspects of the aquatics program while ensuring safety and quality.
• Schedule and manage aquatic facilities and related operations.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate lifeguards and instructors.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and certifications.
• Develop and manage the aquatics program budget and seek revenue opportunities.
• Create engaging aquatic activities and events to attract members.
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Foster positive relationships with members and the community.
• Respond to emergencies and enforce facility rules.
