Placements24 is seeking an Aquatics Director in Rustenburg to lead all swimming pool operations, programs, and staff. The role emphasizes safety, participant engagement, and high-quality aquatic services within a community hub.

The successful candidate will manage programs such as swimming lessons, fitness classes, competitive team support, and recreational swim, while ensuring regulatory compliance and budget discipline.

Qualifications

• 6 years of aquatics management experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Current Lifeguarding and CPR/First Aid certifications mandatory.
• Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or equivalent teaching certification required.
• Proven track record in developing and managing aquatic programming and staff.
• Strong knowledge of pool operations, maintenance, and water chemistry.
• Demonstrated understanding of safety regulations and risk management in aquatic environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all aquatic facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive schedule of aquatic programs for all ages.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise aquatics staff including lifeguards, instructors, and coaches.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and emergency procedures for aquatic facilities.
• Manage the aquatics department budget, including costs and revenue generation.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote programs and increase participation.
• Maintain communication with members, staff, and stakeholders about operations and events.
• Organize training sessions focusing on safety, skills, and customer service.
