Job Title: Digital Projects & Platform Operations Lead

Salary: Competitive

Location: Cape Town, South Africa

Contract: Full time, permanent

Lead the delivery of digital content from concept to release while improving the platforms, workflows and production processes that support learning at scale.

We're looking for a Digital Projects and Platform Operations Lead to oversee digital production projects and help shape how digital learning content is prepared, managed and delivered across Cambridge SSA. This is a hands-on role combining project delivery, platform operations and workflow improvement, helping ensure content reaches customers reliably, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

About the role

As Digital Projects and Platform Operations Lead, you'll manage digital production projects from planning through to release, coordinating colleagues, suppliers and platform partners to ensure content is delivered on time, on budget and to agreed standards. You'll also play a key role in maintaining and improving the operational processes that support digital publishing and online course development, helping build a more scalable, efficient, and resilient content delivery environment.

Working across editorial, production, platform, technology and commercial teams, you'll bring structure, visibility and operational discipline to digital delivery while identifying opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual effort and strengthen quality and release readiness.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing digital production and online course projects from planning through to launch and post-release support.

• Coordinating project schedules, suppliers, stakeholders, budgets and delivery milestones.

• Maintaining content and platform operating standards, including testing, quality assurance and release readiness.

• Improving production and platform workflows through automation, standardisation and process improvements.

• Using performance data, feedback and operational insight to drive continuous improvement.

About You

You’ll bring experience delivering digital content, production or learning platform-related projects in a publishing, education technology, digital media or similar content-driven environment. You'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, coordinating stakeholders and suppliers, and ensuring projects are delivered to agreed standards while continuously improving how work gets done.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

• Experience managing digital production, content operations or platform-delivery projects from planning through to release.

• Experience establishing and applying quality controls, testing processes or release-readiness standards for digital products or content.

• Experience coordinating suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver projects to agreed timelines and standards.

• Experience improving production, content or platform workflows, including the use of automation or technology-enabled processes.

• Experience working with digital publishing platforms, learning management systems, or related content-delivery environments.
