We're looking for a Production Workflow Specialist to help shape how learning content moves from creation to delivery across print, digital and platform-based products. This is a specialist role for someone who enjoys solving complex workflow problems, improving processes and using technology, automation and good operational design to make content production more efficient, scalable and reliable

This is an opportunity to influence how content is produced and delivered across Cambridge SSA.

Working with colleagues across Production, Editorial, Learning Design, Platform Delivery and Technology teams, you'll design and improve the workflows, tools and production processes that support high-quality educational content at scale.

About The Role

You'll act as the bridge between content, technology and business needs, helping translate complex requirements into practical production workflow solutions.

A key part of the role will involve analysing how content currently moves through our production ecosystem, identifying opportunities for improvement and designing processes that reduce manual effort, improve consistency and support future growth. You'll work closely with technical colleagues, automation developers and external providers to implement and embed new ways of working, ensuring solutions are practical, sustainable and well understood by the teams using them.

You'll also play an important role in evaluating production technologies and helping establish the standards, workflows and governance needed to support increasingly digital and platform-ready content delivery while still producing high-quality print products.

Additional responsibilities include:

About You

You'll bring demonstrable experience designing, improving or implementing production workflows within publishing, content operations or a similarly complex environment.

You'll enjoy understanding how systems, processes and people interact, and you'll have the ability to turn operational challenges into practical solutions that improve efficiency, consistency and delivery outcomes.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

• Demonstrable experience with print production workflows, operational processes or content delivery solutions in a publishing environment.
• Experience translating business or operational requirements into practical workflow designs, technical specifications or implementation approaches.
• Experience working with technical teams, suppliers or external partners to implement process improvements or technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of print production and delivery processes.
• Experience producing technical documentation, process maps, guidance or operational standards.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Confidence working across multiple teams to deliver process or technology change initiatives.
