Job summary
IgniteByte Digital is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a website and digital platform redevelopment project. The BA will bridge business stakeholders with UX/UI, development and QA teams, translating needs into actionable requirements for delivery.
Responsibilities include requirements gathering, documenting functional/technical specs, developing user stories with acceptance criteria, supporting sitemap/IA, and ensuring alignment through UAT and defect clarification across
Qualifications
- Experience as Business Analyst on website, CMS or digital platform projects.
- Strong requirements gathering and analysis skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- Strong documentation and technical-writing abilities.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
- Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience using Miro, FigJam or similar workshop tools.
- Knowledge of BPMN and business process modelling.
- Basic SQL and data knowledge.
- Understanding of website architecture, CMS functionality and API integrations.
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility requirements.
- Understanding of POPIA and data-protection considerations.
- Experience supporting UAT and QA processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and requirements-gathering workshops
- Analyse and document business requirements
- Define detailed functional and technical requirements
- Develop user stories and acceptance criteria for Agile development teams
- Support the development of the sitemap and information architecture
- Document business processes, workflows and system interactions
- Identify business, functional and integration dependencies
- Work closely with UX/UI designers and development teams
- Collaborate with QA teams on test scenarios and UAT
- Support UAT planning, execution and defect clarification
- Validate requirements against delivered functionality
- Facilitate stakeholder reviews and requirement sign-offs
- Maintain requirements and project documentation throughout the delivery lifecycle
