Placements24 is seeking a Digital Illustrator specialized in concept art to join their Kimberley studio in the Northern Cape. This on-site role focuses on visualizing characters, environments and props, and translating ideas into compelling visual concepts for our projects.

The ideal candidate has a strong artistic foundation, 5+ years of professional experience in the arts and entertainment industry, and proficiency with Photoshop, Procreate, or Corel Painter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Illustration, Digital Art, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Concept Artist or Digital Illustrator in the arts and entertainment industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing diverse concept art including characters and environments.
• Proficiency in industry-standard digital painting software (Photoshop, Procreate, Corel Painter).
• Excellent understanding of composition, color theory, lighting, and perspective.
• Strong drawing and rendering skills.
• Ability to work effectively under direction and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for visual storytelling and imaginative world-building.
