Job summary

Lebone Paarl Labels in Paarl is seeking an experienced digital finishing operator with at least 2 years' relevant experience. You will set up jobs, monitor outputs, and ensure quality and safety in a busy printing environment.

The ideal candidate can work shifts, communicate in English and Afrikaans, and maintain equipment while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2 years' related experience in digital finishing.
• Experience with hot foiling, silk-screening, embossing/debossing and die-cutting.
• Grade 12 and relevant printing environment experience preferred.
• Ability to work shifts and communicate in English and Afrikaans.

Responsibilities

• Sets-up job according to job ticket and product finishing specs.
• Ensure efficient output to meet deadlines and set targets on machines.
• Comply with quality assurance specifications of customers and Paarl Labels.
• General maintenance of the machine equipment.
• Maintain health and safety standards in production environment.
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained.

Job description

Lebone Paarl Labels, based in Paarl, is currently seeking to recruit an experienced digital finishing operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate must have 2 years' related experience.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Sets-up job in accordance with job ticket and product finishing specification documents.


• Responsible for the efficient output to enable the meeting of deadlines and set targets on machines.


• Compliance with quality assurance specifications of the customers and Paarl Labels


• General maintenance of the machine equipment


• Maintain general health and safety standards in the production environment.


• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• The ability to do physical tasks.


• Ability to follow instructions.


• Must have good eyesight and colour perception.


• Experience with Hot foiling, Silk-screening, Embossing/Debossing and Die-Cutting.


• Honest and reliable


• Able to communicate in English and Afrikaans


• Ability to work independently.


• Willing to work shifts.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12


• Relevant working experience in the printing environment is preferable.


• Digital finishing experience is highly advantageous.


• Flexo Graphic experience is highly advantageous.
