Job summary

Stefanutti Stocks Group in Gauteng is seeking a Digital BIM Manager to lead the BIM platform across multiple projects, manage folders, ensure model coordination, QA/QC, and drive digital delivery processes. This role requires strong leadership and robust BIM knowledge.

With 8+ years in construction, experience with BIM platforms, 3D modelling and coordination software, you will train site teams, supervise licences, and coordinate with IT to support future technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or B.Tech degree in civil or mechanical engineering is essential.
• Experience with BIM platforms and 3D modelling is required.
• Proven ability to lead digital delivery initiatives and QA/QC.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and creating the BIM platform project folders for various projects.
• Technical Report Writing
• Facilitating meetings to review co-ordinated models and provide feedback on digital delivery model information issues.
• Quality Assurance and Quality Control
• Actively contributing to the development and improvement of company digital delivery processes and protocols.
• Building and managing relationships with all project stakeholders.
• Carry out multi discipline clash detection reports and contribute to clash detection meetings and solutions.
• Chair digital delivery orientated meetings to discuss specific areas of the project.
• Checking and approval of the required drawings and 3D models (as specified in the MPDT) prior to model federation and handover to the client.
• Contribute and collaborate with technical personnel for developing and implementing new/future technologies.
• Day-to-day BIM support.
• Defining staff development areas and programs and providing ongoing feedback, training and development.
• Ensure all project data is correctly established and maintained in accordance with company standards and project requirements.
• Ensuring handover compliance through correct data seamlessly transferred at the correct project stages.
• Responsible for the management of BIM software licences.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding BIM software. Ensure the hardware has sufficient capabilities. Acting as a technical interface with IT support services.
• Training the site teams on how to implement the BIM platform management packages.
• Distribute information to stakeholders and co-ordinate BIM platform projects folder for multiple projects.
• Work with commercial department to implement 4D costing across all projects linked back to the model.
• Work with the planning department to implement the 5D programming monitors across all projects linked back to the model.
• Ensure unit alignment with our national digital strategy.
• Drive skill development of our team, future-proofing our digital skillset.
• Management of digital delivery team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or B.Tech Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering (Essential)

• 5 years' Experience - Digital (BIM) Manager.
• Knowledge of Construction standards related to Quality Management.
