Job summary

Vine Recruitment is seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to service and repair forklifts and heavy equipment in a workshop setting. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with safety and manufacturer specifications.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities, experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and welding/fabrication skills are a plus. Independent problem solving and a valid driver’s licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Forklift Technician/Heavy Equipment Technician/Diesel Mechanic.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Welding and fabrication skills will be advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and solve technical problems.
• Valid driver’s licence preferred.
• Relevant technical qualification or trade certification will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on forklifts.

• Maintain accurate service, repair and maintenance records.
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
