Placements24 is seeking a results-driven Development Officer to advance fundraising efforts in Upington. You will cultivate donor relationships, secure funding, and build strategic partnerships to sustain social impact across the Northern Cape.

The role requires proven fundraising experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to design proposals, manage donor stewardship, and help drive growth for the organization's programs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fundraising, development, or a related role within the non-profit sector.
• Demonstrated success in cultivating donor relationships and securing significant funding.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of fundraising principles, techniques, and ethical practices.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet organizational financial goals.
• Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
• Manage and steward relationships with existing donors, ensuring ongoing engagement and support.
• Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
• Prepare compelling grant proposals, reports, and other fundraising collateral.
