Job summary

JVR Software is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting, maintain precise financial records, and support monthly close processes in our Industria, Johannesburg office. The role requires strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and experience in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, VAT submissions, and payroll support, while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.
• Experience with common accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Process accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings.
• Support payroll processing and maintain employee records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Generate financial reports as required.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
