PERI SE in Cape Town is seeking a Design Office Manager (Civil Eng) to lead a team of Design Engineers. You will provide technically effective solutions for clients and for PERI, and mentor junior staff in PERI design processes.

Role includes client interaction, project progression planning, and ensuring design accuracy while upholding OHSA standards. A degree in civil engineering and proven leadership are essential.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of formwork/scaffolding experience.
• Experience in leading a team.
• Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Registered Professional or demonstrable progress towards professional registration (PrEng/PrTech/PrTechni).

Responsabilidades

• Understand and implement PERI engineering directives for all reports.
• Oversee formwork/scaffolding design process for the team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Check and approve all designs for the design office.
• Sign off on projects when required.
• Assess, train, and develop design team members.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of PERI design processes and products.
• Communicate information with other departments.
• Participate in technical negotiations and client meetings.
• Maintain OHSA procedures relevant to area of responsibility.
• Mentor Engineering Designers, Design Draughtsmen and Snr Design Draughtsmen.
