Peri Group in Cape Town seeks a Design Office Manager (Civil) to lead a team of design engineers and deliver technically effective formwork and scaffolding solutions for client and PERI projects.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 5+ years in formwork/scaffolding, and strong leadership, communication, and planning skills. You will ensure design quality, mentor staff, and coordinate with sales, OHSA, and other departments.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of formwork/scaffolding experience.
• Experience in leading a team.
• Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering.

Aufgaben

• Understand and implement all PERI Engineering relevant directives to all employees reporting to this position.
• Overseeing and organizing complete formwork/scaffolding design process of the team (correct, accurate and on time).
• Check and approve all designs for relevant design office.
• PR signoff on projects when required.
• Assess, train, and develop skill level of design team members.
• Apply In-depht knowledge of PERI design processes and products.
• Communicate relevant information with other departments.
• Active participation in technical negotiations and meetings with clients.
• To have a proactive responsibility and awareness for OHSA procedures related to the area of responsibility.
• Assist in the guidance and mentoring of Engineering Designers, Design Draughtsman & Snr Design Draughtsman.
