Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, water systems, and drainage solutions.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to inform project planning and execution.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit).
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Collaborate closely with clients, government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and Civil Designer.
• Strong understanding of South African building codes, standards, and environmental legislation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
