Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a Delivery Lead to own delivery effectiveness across multiple agile software development teams in a mature technology environment. The role focuses on enabling teams by removing obstacles, coordinating dependencies, and driving continuous improvement to deliver valuable outcomes predictably.

The candidate will partner with Product Managers, Engineers, QA, Design, and stakeholders, managing risks and dependencies while driving governance and metrics-driven reporting

Qualifications

• Must have experience leading delivery within agile software development environments.
• Experience coordinating delivery across multiple teams, squads, or workstreams.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban and modern software delivery practices.
• Ability to engage with and challenge development teams when required.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience managing risks, dependencies, competing priorities, and delivery roadmaps.
• Proficiency with Jira, Plandek, and delivery analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• As a Delivery Lead, the successful candidate will own delivery effectiveness across multiple agile software development teams, ensuring that valuable outcomes are delivered predictably, transparently, and sustainably. This is not a traditional Project Manager or Scrum Master position. Instead, the focus is on enabling teams to perform at their best by removing delivery obstacles, coordinating dependencies, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading delivery planning, coordination, and execution across multiple software development squads
• Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Technical Leads, QA Specialists, Designers, and stakeholders to achieve successful delivery outcomes
• Managing delivery risks, blockers, assumptions, and dependencies proactively.
• Facilitating planning sessions, reviews, retrospectives, and delivery governance activities where appropriate.
• Supporting release planning and readiness initiatives.
• Driving visibility, reporting, accountability, and delivery transparency through data and metrics.
• Collaborating across multiple teams to improve delivery predictability, efficiency, and overall business value.
• Creating an environment where agile teams can perform at their highest level
• This role sits within a mature technology environment where Delivery Leads play a critical role in shaping delivery practices, improving team effectiveness, and driving measurable outcomes. Skills & Experience:

• The ideal candidate will possess:
• Experience leading delivery within agile software development environments
• Previous experience coordinating delivery across multiple teams, squads, or workstreams
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and modern software delivery practices
• The confidence and technical credibility to engage with and challenge development teams when required
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience managing risks, dependencies, competing priorities, and delivery roadmaps
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to leverage delivery metrics and reporting for continuous improvementExperience working with tools such as Jira, Plandek, and delivery analytics platforms

Advantageous experience includes:

Qualification:
