Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a DeFi Engineer to join our fintech team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will design, implement, and deploy secure DeFi protocols and dApps, collaborating with product managers and designers to deliver scalable blockchain solutions.

The role requires 2+ years of blockchain development, proficiency in Solidity and dApp tooling, and a strong understanding of DeFi concepts. You will contribute to a fast-moving, innovative environment in Richards Bay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 2+ years of software development with a focus on blockchain and smart contracts.
• Solid understanding of DeFi concepts like AMMs and lending protocols.
• Proficiency with Solidity and dApp tooling (Hardhat/Truffle).
• Experience with Ethers.js or Web3.js for dApp interactions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy DeFi protocols and smart contracts.
• Build decentralized applications (dApps) for on-chain financial transactions.
• Integrate with multiple blockchain networks and DeFi services.
• Perform security analyses and vulnerability assessments of DeFi protocols.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to implement features.
