Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Smart Contract Developer to join its Stellenbosch-based team. You will design, write, test, and deploy secure contracts for DeFi and other blockchain apps, collaborating with product managers to define requirements and ensure security.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to cutting-edge blockchain projects and continuously improving development processes while maintaining high code quality and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Smart Contract Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Solidity and experience with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptography, and decentralized systems.
• Familiarity with blockchain development tools and frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum).
• Ensure smart contracts adhere to strict security standards and best practices to prevent vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with other developers and product managers to define smart contract functionalities and requirements.
• Optimize smart contract gas usage and execution efficiency.
• Write comprehensive documentation for all developed smart contracts.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
