Job summary

The Maitland based client, represented by Howland Recruiting, seeks an experienced Debtors and Creditors Assistant who is immediately available and SA citizen. You will work with Pastel V19 and MS Office, handling invoicing, statements, reconciliations, and client queries.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, fluent English and Afrikaans, and a reliable attendance record. Working hours are standard weekdays with occasional weekend shifts and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and a relevant financial qualification.
• Experience with Pastel version 19 and MS Office.
• 2+ years’ experience in Debtors / Creditors / Journals / Recons, etc.
• Stable work history with good references.
• SA citizen able to communicate in English and Afrikaans.
• Own transport.
• Immediate availability.

Responsibilities

• Handle Debtors and Creditors processes.
• Generate invoices and credit notes; generate statements.
• Manage client queries and debtors age analysis.
• Allocate GL codes for journals; perform bank/petty cash recons.
• Assist with month-end and management reports.

Our Maitland based client is looking for an experienced Debtors and Creditors Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be an immediately available SA citizen able to communicate in both English and Afrikaans coupled with 2+ years’ Debtors and Creditors experience using Pastel V19.

Requirements

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 06:00 - 15:00
• Alt Saturday: 06:00 - 11:00
• Public Holidays are part of the normal working hours

Salary

• R10,000 - R17,000
• Paid on the last working day of the month
