Job summary

Telkom Openserve is seeking an Ops Specialist to manage debt collections, disputes, and settlements for strategic and high-value customers. You will oversee overdue balances, payment allocations, and settlement processes while maintaining strong customer relationships and reducing financial risk.

You will collaborate with Debtors Management, Customer Service, and Finance teams to ensure accurate account administration and timely reporting in line with Openserve policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• Experience in debtors management, collections, billing, or customer account administration.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Debtors Management: Manage overdue debt on Top 20 customer accounts and accounts exceeding 120 days overdue. Investigate and resolve overdue balances and payment discrepancies.
• Payment Allocation Management: Allocate customer payments accurately against invoices and accounts; resolve unallocated or suspense payments.
• National & International Account Management: Manage national and international accounts; issue payment demands and settlement statements; process extensions and settlements; coordinate service suspensions and write-offs.
• Reporting & Administration: Provide input into Top 20 reports; compile monthly operational/financial reports; maintain records and ensure deadlines.
• Stakeholder & Customer Relationship Management: Liaise with customers and internal teams; resolve disputes and queries; maintain professional relationships.
