Job summary

TFG (The Foschini Group) is seeking a DC Process Manager to oversee and optimize inbound operations, ensuring timely, accurate receipt of goods and cost efficiency. You will optimize inventory processes, drive stock control, and maintain WMS integrity across the Distribution Centre.

This role requires 3+ years DC experience, 1+ year of people management, and strong analytical skills to identify trends and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years Distribution Centre (DC) experience.
  • Minimum 1 year people management experience.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, SAP EWM, Manhattan, JDA, Oracle, or SYSPRO

Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimise inventory management processes to ensure high levels of inventory accuracy across the Distribution Centre.
  • Drive stock control initiatives through effective cycle counting, stock reconciliations, and variance investigations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by ensuring all stock movements are correctly processed and recorded within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Analyse inventory data and performance metrics to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve stock variances through detailed root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor and manage aged, slow-moving, obsolete, and damaged stock to minimise losses and improve inventory health.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures, stock governance standards, and audit requirements.
  • Lead and support cycle count programmes, annual stock takes, and inventory audits to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Inbound, Outbound, Suppliers, and other cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy and stock availability.
  • Design and implement inventory process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce inventory-related risks.
  • Monitor key inventory KPIs including inventory accuracy, stock variance, cycle count completion, stock availability, shrinkage, and inventory turnover.
  • Drive initiatives focused on loss prevention, shrinkage reduction, and inventory optimisation.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and health and safety requirements.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports, audit findings, KPI scorecards, and continuous improvement recommendations to management.
  • Manage, coach, and develop team members to build capability, accountability, and a high-performance culture within the inventory function.
  • Support operational decision-making through accurate reporting, inventory analysis, and actionable insights
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and health and safety requirements.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports, audit findings, KPI scorecards, and continuous improvement recommendations to management.
  • Manage, coach, and develop team members to build capability, accountability, and a high-performance culture within the inventory function.

Job Description
