TFG (The Foschini Group) is seeking a Senior Logistics Manager for Riverfields DC to oversee end-to-end inbound/outbound warehouse activities and drive cost-efficient distribution. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage inventory and performance reporting, and optimise space and equipment to meet current and future business needs.

The role requires 10+ years in logistics leadership, a relevant degree, and strong problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.

Qualifications

• Matric – Essential
• Experience in supply chain and logistics – Essential
• Degree in Supply Chain / Industrial Engineering or related field – Desirable
• Minimum 10 years of management experience in a similar role
• A valid driver’s licence
• E‑commerce experience advantageous
• Strong stakeholder engagement and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and influencing skills

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all inbound and outbound warehouse functions.
• Improve efficiency by identifying and implementing optimal processes and procedures to minimise risk and costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers, business units, and external service providers to drive customer-service culture.
• Manage profit and loss, risk and compliance for the DC.
• Lead teams to deliver on key business drivers and ensure space/equipment optimisation.
• Develop the business by supporting new third-party contracts and solving logistical problems.
• Report on performance metrics and operational performance.
• Manage inventory processes, stock accuracy, and stock-flow planning.
• Maintain strong customer liaison and resolve DC queries timely.

An exciting new Senior opportunity has arisen within the Logistics Division. Riverfields DC is the new Fashion Omni Fulfilment DC created to add capacity to insource central e‑commerce operations and to implement a new pull model for stores, improving availability. The purpose of this role is to manage and ensure controls and second‑shift coverage end‑to‑end, oversee the flow and distribution of merchandise, and deliver the right products to the right location on time and as cost‑efficient as possible.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all inbound and outbound warehouse functions.
• Improve efficiency by identifying and implementing optimal processes and procedures to minimise risk and costs.
• Coordinate and collaborate with suppliers, business units, and external service providers, driving a customer‑service culture, evaluating performance, and planning improvements.
• Continuously improve business performance by managing profit and loss, risk and compliance for the DC (rentals, rates, utilities, etc.).
• Manage claims and reporting to enhance administration and financial tracking.
• Effectively manage all inventory processes, stock accuracy, and stock‑flow planning.
• Lead teams to deliver on key business drivers.
• Ensure warehouse space and equipment are optimised to meet current and future business needs.
• Develop the business by gaining or supporting new third‑party contracts, analysing logistical problems, and implementing solutions.
• Report on performance metrics and operational performance.
• Manage the customer liaison process and ensure DC queries are resolved timely.

Requirements

• Matric – Essential
• Experience in supply chain and logistics – Essential
• Degree in Supply Chain / Industrial Engineering or related field – Desirable
• Minimum 10 years of management experience in a similar role
• A valid driver’s licence
• Knowledge of DC operations and/or retail
• E‑commerce experience advantageous
• A customer‑centric approach
• Problem‑solving, judgement and self‑management skills
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills (written and verbal)
• Good people management and project management skills
• An eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills
• Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel – intermediate, MS PowerPoint)
