Job summary

Takealot Group is seeking a DC Industrial Engineer System to join the Supply Chain Team at KZN DC. The role involves daily Oracle WMS administration, user support, and collaboration with IT, ensuring smooth operations and data-driven dashboards.

You will interface with the WMS vendor, perform system audits, and contribute to system upgrades and QA within a fast-growing e-commerce environment. Strong MS Office and WMS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience within DC operations
• Previous experience with WMS systems such as Logfire(Oracle), Manhattan, Red Prairie, SAP, Highjump or similar
• Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, B.Comm Logistics or similar degree preferred
• High level of proficiency with MS Office packages

Responsibilities

• Day to Day administration of Oracle WMS – user maintenance, user access, user profiles and location maintenance
• Level 1 support to DC operations and troubleshooting of ERP integration issues
• Interface between DC Operations and WMS Vendor for issue logging and resolution
• Perform routine audits of systems and operational processes
• Understanding & partaking in stock sync, OS updates, patches, and config changes
• Add, remove, or update user accounts and reset passwords
• Answer technical queries and assist users
• Troubleshoot and record reported system problems
• Align full operational flow across departments with system processes
• Liaise with IT to ensure network infrastructure is up and running
• Assist En-log team with system upgrades & issues
• Quality Control support for Dimensions integration
• Troubleshoot WCS and escalate to stakeholders
• Liaise with operations and service providers with management
• Ensure QA on testing and validation
• Maintain technical training schedules for SOP support
• Provide onsite WMS queries and technical support
• Prepare data to create understandable dashboards for operations
• Assist in change management and best practices
• Analyze system logs and report potential issues
• Develop reporting and dashboards from WMS database for OPS
• Test and roll out new functionalities and Oracle upgrades bi-annually

This position reports to the WMS and Systems Manager

Your responsibilities may include:

• Ensure Quality Assurance (QA) on testing and validation,
• Responsible for all technical WMS understanding & internal DC processes
• Responsible for maintenance of technical training schedules in support of operational SOP’s
• Responsible for onsite WMS queries and technical support
• Assisting in arranging data in an understandable manner to assist operations with dashboards
• Assist operations with good system practice & change management.
• Analyzing system logs, identifying and reporting of potential issues with all operational systems.
• Development of reporting and dashboards from WMS reporting database for OPS management teams
• Responsible for testing and roll-out of proposed new functionalities and bi-annual upgrades of Oracle.
