Boardroom Appointments seeks a DataOps Database Administrator to manage, configure, monitor and maintain our Oracle database environment. You will work with developers and clients to deliver reliable, scalable database solutions in a fast-paced team.

The role emphasizes documentation, DR planning, performance tuning, backups, security and capacity planning to meet contractual SLAs and deliver high-quality support. Strong Oracle expertise and proactive ownership are essential.

Responsibilities

• Documentation of processes and standards.
• Database installs and DR environment configuration.
• Database patching, upgrades, backups and restores.
• Implement and monitor database utilities and tools.
• Perform database performance investigations and tuning.
• Make structural changes and deploy database objects.
• Handle user requests and standby operations.
• Provide consultancy and guidance on DBMS infrastructure.
• Assist in logical design and physical definition of databases.
• Enhance databases to support new business functions.
• Support developers with problem analysis and resolution.
• Ensure production environments remain stable and performant.
• Research alternatives and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor status, usage and capacity; ensure SLAs are met.
• Disaster recovery planning and testing; implement safeguards.
