Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Cape Town seeks a Senior Oracle DBA to design, implement, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases across production, test, and development environments.

You will ensure high availability, security, and peak performance, manage RAC/Data Guard/ASM, and mentor junior DBAs while collaborating with IT and development teams to support critical applications.

Qualifications

• Matric and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Expertise in Oracle 12c/19c architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
• Certifications such as OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities
