Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment Centurion, South Africa is seeking an experienced DataTester to own end-to-end testing across data solutions—from ETL pipelines to dashboards.

You will design and execute functional, non-functional, automated and AI-enabled tests to protect data integrity, accuracy and performance, building robust test cases and collaborating in an Agile delivery team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years overall IT experience with 5+ years in BI/data testing.
• Tertiary qualification such as BSc CS, Statistics, IS, Informatics or IT diploma; ISTQB/ISEB preferred.
• Strong SQL and ETL testing with Informatica/DataStage and data validation.
• Experience creating test cases for dashboards and data visualisations.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional, non-functional, automated and AI-enabled tests across data solutions.
• Write and run SQL queries and stored procedures for validation.
• Troubleshoot ETL workflows and validate data integrity.
• Define quality standards and document test plans and scenarios.
• Collaborate with delivery teams in Agile to improve predictability and reduce defects.

Areyou passionate about ensuring data quality and building confidence in everyinsight that drives business decisions? We are looking for an experienced DataTester to own end-to-end testing across data solutions — from ETL pipelines anddata models to dashboards and integrations.

Inthis role you will design and execute functional, non-functional, automated andAI-enabled tests that protect data integrity, reliability and performance. Youwill create ETL and data visualisation test cases, write and run SQL queriesand stored procedures, troubleshoot ETL workflows, and continuously strengthentest automation and regression coverage. You Will also help define qualitystandards, document test plans and scenarios, and work closely with deliveryteams in an Agile environment to minimise defects and improve predictability.

Requirements

Whatyou bring:

• 8+years overall experience, with 5+ years in BI and/or data analysis and testing
• Relevanttertiary qualification (BSc Computer Science/Statistics, BSc/BCom InformationSystems or Informatics, or Diploma in IT); ISTQB/ISEB preferred
• StrongSQL skills and hands-on experience with ETL testing (e.g.Informatica/DataStage), data models, data mapping and data integrity validation
• Experiencecreating test cases for dashboards and data visualisations
• Automatedtesting skills (Selenium or Cypress preferred) and the ability to build andmaintain automation artefacts
• Exposureto AI-enabled testing tools and the ability to validate AI-generated outputs
• Intermediateknowledge of Python or Java
• Solidunderstanding of data mesh concepts and experience with AWS
• Expertintegration testing skills and strong MS Office proficiency
• Provenexperience working in Agile teams
